What is interesting in the world of Ninja/Bomberman T. Killem/Stephen/Mr. Awesome? I haven't made a list yet. I am almost done reading Richard Wright's masterpiece Native Son. This is one of the most awe inspiring selections of literature I have ever had the pleasure of reading. For those of you who have not taken the time to do so, please do. Since I picked it up two weeks ago I am unable to put it down (when time permits me).
So the comics I gave everyone are adventures of the L-TEAM. The larger one titled Mothers of God is the story of how the L-TEAM became the L-TEAM. Not the funniest comic in the world, but I was trying to make references to a bunch of other comics I've written that speak of their meetings. Even the date of 1999 is from a comic in which it is stated that Bomberman and Luigi became friends after a panty raid of 1999. This date is incorrect as far as the actual creation of the L-TEAM which is placed some time in 2002. There is no explanation for the date of 1999 that I can offer. Though it isn't as funny, it still has a great story and I am currently writing a sequal to it. The sequal is called Kings of the Universe and so far I am on issue six. These issues will not make it to a graphic novel. Instead, when I finish writing the story, I am going to make it into a video game. How will I do this you ask? I own a video game for the PS2 called RPG Maker II. I've already begun designing levels and dungeons for it. Though I predict the game will be released some time late 2009.
As for the second comic entitled The Christmas Crisis, it is an adventure of the L-TEAM that takes place after many other comics have been written. Before writing the Christmas issue in 2005/2006, I wrote other comics in which the team was given more abilities from their video games such as Bomberman's "Generation Suit" and Luigi's ability to communicate with the other team members through telepathy. Luigi's video game counterpart can't actually communicate in such a manor. That is just a writers idea. It is used most notably in their "last" adventure titled Faces of Evil. This comic was written as satire for the "war on christmas" that was started by O'Reily and his cronies and this is my version of a "war." If you don't get it, I will understand. Also, on a side note, if you guys don't want to read the comics or don't feel like keeping them, I will gladly take them back and not be offended one bit when you tell me how much you didn't enjoy them.
OR, how about this, y'all: write a short paragraph "remixing" the L-Team stories. Summarize the plot...then add a new twist....Perhaps Ninja might actually render a cartoon remix of your remix someday!

So the title Faces of Evil comes from a Zelda game of mysterious origins. The Zelda game was released for the Phillips CD-I, a pre DVD system that ran movies on disks known as CD-I's. The video game system came from the leftovers of a deal with Nintendo to develop a CD attachment to the Super Nintendo. During the production, Nintendo granted temporary licenses to Phillips to make Mario and Zelda games. Unfortunately, the makes of these games took a big dump and slapped a Zelda label on them. They are forgotten amoung even the most enthusiastic collector. Because you've never heard of the CD-I, you know that it failed to match Nintendo or Sega in strength. So anyway, I thought it would be an interesting tribute to an era long forgotten and a game nobody cares about.
There is a lot of nerdy, but true information in this weeks blog. As always, tell me what you think by adding some sort of comment to the bottom.
