I have done some crazy things in my life but none of them can touch my sky diving experience. My freinds were planning the trip and my girlfriend asked me if I wanted to go. My life almost flashed before my eyes at that point. It was something I wanted to do but when its staring right at you, you get a different feeling. I told her a would do it but kept my second thoughts to myself.
We all drove a few miles south of Orlando too a small run down air port. The looks of this airport is enouph to scare most people. There were too old hangers next to a small run way and a small rusty air plane at the begining of the run way. We were shocked when we realized that the small rusty air plane was the plane we were going to fly in. So much for the saying "why jump out of a perfectly good airplane?" because this plane was fare from good.
I was releived to hear from the rest of my freinds that they all were nervous too and nervous would have to be the under statement of the year. This was fun because with all of the adreniline pumping it was easy to put any secong thoughts away.
Noone wanted to be first. We played "rock, paper, scissor" to see who would have to go. Being that I am so lucky, I wound up being first. As the plane rattled its way up to the required altitude of 1200 miles, we were getting ready to jump. The instructor tapped my leg and told me it was go time. The back lash opened and as I walked up I felt as if I was walking on death row. I looked over the edge and could not even see the ground. My instructor who was strapped onto me asked me if I was ready. I replied "no," he heard "go" and off we were. It was amazing. This was truly one of the most crazy, unforgetable, and fun times that I ever had.
