The Hollywood and best known term for an Entourage is the name given to a group of people who work and hang out together. This is a much better definition of that from a real dictionary, trust me. This is the definition of dictionary from dictionary.com This is the definition of on dictionary.com. The setting of "The Entourage" is at the main character, Vincent "Vinnie" Chase's house. The story goes around that of Vinnie and his entourage's life. Vinnie is a up and coming Hollywood actor and he his friends live together in Los Angelous. Each of whom do specific chores while Vinnie more then rightfully compensates them with money, a decked out house, vehicles of all kind, and they get to go with him in all the secluded extravaganzas that Hollywood offers to its stars. This is nothing for Vinny for he does this out of the kindness of his heart.
The main cast consists of Vinnie (as said before), Eric, Turtle, and Johnny. Eric is Vinnie’s rookie manager. He is the more mature one out of the group and keeps Vinnie on the professional road. Turtle is definitely the clown of the group. He can make everyone happy when they are sad, he is very optimistic and finds a way through everything. His job is being the driver and luggage carrier. No one in the group ever gets their hands dirty working but if any do anything that can be classified as labor, it is probably Turtle doing it. There is usually an odd ball in most groups or entourages and Johnny Chase, Vinnies brother, is definitely this one. He finds a way to let the pettiest and smallest things drive him crazy. Johnny is an actor as well but unfortunately he is not that good. He thinks he is an awesome character and he constant denial is hilarious. Since he does not make very much money acting, Johnny is the entourage chef. All of whom work very well together in this awesome and real to life "realty show."
If the realty I emphasized above is not enough, this is were I make my argument that "The Entourage" should not be considered a comedy but is indeed a reality show. Comparing it to reality shows like "The Real World" and "Survivor" is a lot more etiquette then comparing the show with comedies like "Fresh Prince of Bellaire" or "The Man Show." I mean they would never air "The Entourage" on comedy central, but they do on HBO and the channel A&E. The show is about real to life phenomenas and seems more day to day then all of the other reality shows running. Let me also add that I watched a documentary that stated how much Vinnie Chase's entourage in the show is a lot like real Hollywood entourages. "The Entourage" is indeed a very funny show but it is not a comedy, it is a realy show. If you were told that the show was real and it was following a real actor is Hollywood, you would believe them, as you do with other realty shows that are not realty and are staged!
