The definition of an "entourage" as depicted on dictionary.com does not do the word any justice. It steals the soul out of the word. The word entourage is used, in modern terms, to describe the valued group chosen by an elite entertainer to work for him or her while still being their companions. Madona, MC Hammer, Eminem, 50 Cent, The Ramones, and The Spice Girls are some of the well known entertainers having huge entourages. Rapper Eminem is known for making his entourage up of old friends that serve as bodyguards for him and another rapper known as MC Hammer had an entourage that consisted of 40 people which did everything from pampering the rapper and spending an estimated 33 million dollars of his money. Choosing whether to have an entourage and who exactly will be in your entourage is an important decision. "The Entourage" is a show that focuses in on the day to day affairs of the up and coming Hollywood actor Vincent "Vinnie" Chase. This show is very real to life as described from this excerpt.

The producer of the show, Mark Wahlberg, brought the show together not only to entertain, but to bring viewers' awareness to the wacky world of Hollywood entourages. The show is intended to be a comedy but the real life altercations and scenarios makes this show in my opinion a reality. The Entourage is much more comparable and appropriately matched with shows that are considered reality such as “The Real World" and "Survivor,” not comedies like "Fresh Prince of Bellaire" or "The Man Show." One of the most intriguing aspects of the show in my opinion is to witness how Vinnie's entourage acts around other entourages, this is just how I would in vision a group of guys from the east coast to act around groups from Hollywood.
