I think companies market being "green" because the term rouses consumer interest. These companies are trying to impress you, "the consumer." No one can be positive why companies are practicing more environment-friendly business. Maybe it is because they have to live on the same planet as we do or it does raise profits. What ever the case maybe why not give them a chance. The ends-means should be the focus. I mean there are companies that do not help at all. That is because they are too concerned with helping themselves. Some large corporations are doing their part to help already. Others are planning and attempting to be part of the "green" movement. Shouldn't that be enough? No matter how companies try to help, people always have something negative to say. Most people are envious of the top dogs in business. People should ask themselves: If they were running a major corporation what they would do? Lots of people would want to push the company to grow, expand and maximize profits no matter what. Why would any one want to stay on the small scale level? I think we should appreciate all those who try to help their communities. Companies are just starting to help out; I think that we should give them that chance. Be opened mined. Hopefully this leads to a beginning of a better world, were big companies realize that consumer perception is important as well as the environment. I would bet my last penny that Starbucks has someone in their organization working on a biodegradable cup. -Afram Malaki malkdawg@aol.com

I liked Afram's article I just wanted to rearrange it. I organized it so the bolder statements are at the beginning and then it eases into the other information. By the end of the article it is more calm and makes you feel like the enviroment is important. It does not feel like some one is up in your face with their opinion.
