AnalogToDigitalConversion - A Brief Tutorial.
Farrah and Regina pose their questions to the class about the photography zine.
1. What camera do you use at home? What do you like and not like about it?
2. Is there a question you would like answered concerning photography?
(One sentence please)
1. What camera do you use at home? What do you like and not like about it?
I have a Casio Exilim EX-z60 digital camera. I like that it takes decent pictures of stuff that I sell on Ebay (it has an Ebay mode). I do not like that it only has a 3x zoom.
2. Is there a question you would like answered concerning photography?
(One sentence please)
What is the deal with the new "SLR" digital cameras?

1. I have a Kodak Easy Share CX7300. It was their bottom of the line digital camera a few years ago. Me and my wife hate it. It was a gift from her parents, who had nice intentions but bless their hearts have no knowledge of modern technology. It takes o.k. pictures, but there is an annoying delay in between pressing the button and the actual taking of the picture, so most shots take multiple tries to get the timing worked out. We gave up on candid shots. It also has a very small viewing screen that you can't see at night.
2. What are some affordable, easy to use digital cameras, with good zoom and no annoying delay, oh and with a large viewing screen that is easy to see at night, and lets you take several pictures very quickly?

1.) I currently do not have a camera ever since I dropped mine in the Sistine chapel in Rome. Ever since then it wont work. But I did have a Casio Exilim EX-S3. I loved this camera because it was small and easy to use. It also took some pretty good picture for a small camera. It was easy to carry and didn't need much care. It was a 3.2 mega pixel camera and would zoom in and out and was a fun camera to have. I am in the market for a camera now so maybe you could help me out.
2.) What would be the best digital camera for my buck. I am looking to spend about 200-300 dollars (more toward 200) and want something that is easy to use. Can you help me out?
1. I currently and have not for many years owned a camera. I am usually not the one who takes pictures and personally do not like hauling one with me wherever I go. I gave a digital camera as a gift 2 years ago and the recipient has enjoyed it from what I understand. I could not however tell you who made it and what the specs were on it.
2. The only question I would have is this: Can I find a well made, long lasting, inexpensive and small camera that takes great pictures?
-Ted
1. I have never owned a camera (except the one on my phone). Do you think it's important for everyone to have some experience with photography? Why?
-Scott
- I have a refurbished Kodak EasyShare Z710, that I bought at http://www.geeks.com/ for under $175, including shipping. I bought it because it was the cheapest camera I could find with 7.1 Megapixels and a 10x optical zoom. As I edit the images down to a usable data size, I realize that I have more of a camera than I need for normal use, but that's better than the opposite. I haven't taken a bad picture yet.
- Do you think that conventional news sources will be replaced by random witnesses with camera phones any time soon?

1. I own an HP Photosmart 720 and after several years of use, the thing is practically useless to me. Not only do we have trouble getting it to turn on, but it consumes batteries so fast we can never tell if it won't turn on due to mechanical failure or dead batteries. If I had my way, I'd pitch it out a window and never look back. Though first I'd probably pawn it off to some idiot who doesn't know or care about a good camera. I will say though, when it does manage to take a picture, it takes it with extreme clarity. Somehow it is able to filter light and evenly distribute it.
2. I want to take a time lapsed photo of the sky with my digital camera. How would I go about doing so?

1. I use the camero in my Sony Ericsson phone. I like the clarity and convenience of the camera. The only things I carry on me are either in my pockets or being held in my hands. The camera takes pictures and can record video for up to a few minutes. I want to get a bigger memory card so I can hold more pictures and videos of myself. This camera would be perfect if it wasnt for two minor incomveniences. The first is that it can only record video for a few minutes. I never went over the time it allowed to record but it would be nice to know I can record nonstop. The other thing is that once you take a picture you have to push a few other buttons to be able to take another picture. I would like the camera more if I can take multiple pictures right after one another.
2. What is the easiest way to distort a picture after it has been taken and loaded into a computer?
